The “You Rock” Fund
As a nonprofit organization, Outside the Box operates differently than a for-profit company; especially when it comes to how we’re able to pay our employees. Nonprofit team members often earn less than their private-sector counterparts, and OTB must follow the Department of Labor’s Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Our employees are classified based on job duties, and as a nonprofit, we receive restricted funding; meaning certain funds can only be used for specific programs or purposes.
That being said, we’re only permitted to pay a set salary amount — even though we wish we could pay more, because every member of our team is truly invaluable to OTB!
OTB's “You Rock” Fund ... Giving you, along with corporations, donors, parents, friends, and supporters, the opportunity to gift our amazing employees. Whether it’s a gift card, gas card, groceries, movie tickets, or cash, every contribution is deeply appreciated and helps us recognize the people who make Outside the Box such a special place.
